From 22nd April to 1st May 2011, Genoa will become for ten days, the most important garden in Europe with Euroflora. Euroflora is not simply a botanic show - itoffers you the unforgettable chance for a pleasant visit to breathtaking scenic settings based on rare specimens, new flower varieties, waterfalls, water effects and fountains. Lost yourself into the wonders of nature inside an "Old America" port, walking in a fifteen-hectare garden among the colours, shades, scents of plants and flowers from all over Italy and all over the world.
The leading theme of Euroflora 2011 will be water, but the show will be based on four related exhibitions: Flortec, displaying professional and DIY equipment and products for nursery gardening, Florcasa, with garden furniture and accessories, the shopping area and the Green Market, for those who want to buy directly from the producers.
The first edition of in 1966
Euroflora was a great success. The show was attended by 250 thousand visitors, and 263 exhibitors from 19 countries took part in it. One thing was immediately understood: Italy had carved out a fixed niche for itself in the context of the greatest international flower exhibitions. From then on, there was an escalation of success, both in terms of participation and of international prestige. Data speak for themselves: 4,400 exhibitors from all over the world have taken part in the seven shows held to date. 3,197,000 is the total number of visitors. The record was achieved in 1986, with 730,000 people.
